One of the many things I love about my kid is how he loves to sing - how he loves to worship, and dance, and sing a worship song, right on key - whether or not he's sung it a hundred times, or singing it for the first time.
Tonight, Erin, Jonah, and I met up with Amanda and Silas for a worship evening outdoors at Victoria Park...and while Jonah did eventually get distracted with his friends (20-something boys who go to our church who have mutual adoration for each other!) and their i-phones...the first few songs, he was singing his little heart out. Its hard to not cry - and laugh, for that matter - at the soul this little fella has, and his inhibitions of singing loudly, even though he doesn't know the words...I love it. I wonder when we lose that ability to just 'let loose' and sing and worship unaware of those around us. What a great quality! I'm so happy to raise this little boy, and to be influenced by HIM just as much as he is influenced by US...
I see Jesus in him, and I pray often, and will continue to pray that God will always use him to bring joy to others, and show God's love to the people around him. I'm blessed to experience answers to those prayers on a daily basis...what a gift.
